New York's Capital

Should not be Albany, but instead NYC. You see, Albany has no idea how much it costs to ride the subway/PATH/LIRR to work and back each day. Albany - you couldn't handle the subway.

We are

Crowded in the subway during a dwindled morning rush.

We are the lucky ones.

On our way to work.

Clementine: Fruit of the Year

It is in my opinion that the clementine should be made "fruit of the year" - even "fruit of the century" as far as I'm concerned. Top 6 reasons why I feel as such:
1. It's DELICIOUS
2. It's small and extremely portable
3. Requires no large commitment of time
4. Peels easily and without mess
5. Smells delectable
6. I can fit 19 in my work sack

The 50 Most Loathsome People in America, 2008

I only wish I could take credit for some of what is written in the following link. Created by one or more brilliant minds at http://www.buffalobeast.com/, the language is witty, satiric and intelligent - all while making you laugh. The list is lenghty, but have patience my friend, for the reading is worth it!
Enjoy this list as I have.

Upon watching my boss cry over his brother's suicide

I am again reminded that life is so short.  Too painful at times, but too short in others.

I am lucky.  I am helpless.  I am shocked.  I wonder if some can recover.

And I wonder how.

I am alive.

On Being Happy

No longer entitled "On Being Broke," I am now the happiest I have ever been.

I am in the city I love the most and have wanted to get back to for years. I have a job . . . well, I am lucky to have any job at all. However, I have a job that is amazing. Freedom in writing and absolutely no micromanaging. I'm writing for a living. WRITING FOR A LIVING!! IN NEW YORK CITY!!

Every morning, as I exit the subway on 40th and 6th, the Manhattan morning air hits me like a brick of love and I say to myself "holy shit . . . I'm living it."

Living it and loving it. Every minute.
